On 25–27th October the database "Lituanistika" as the open science infrastructure was presented in the event of Istanbul Aydin University (Turkey). The event was dedicated to debates about the global situation of open science, sharing experience, discussing the concept of the open science and the challenges of its implementation. The specialists of the project PhD Laima Bucevičiūtė and PhD Giedrė Sabaitytė have given the presentation "Open science implementation in Lithuania: the case of the database "Lituanistika" to the international community”.
35 Lithuanian publishers licensed the output of fulltext publications on Lithuanian studies for Lithuanian Research Council. Scientific works from 195 journals and 42 books are published. LDB contains 27 thous. open access articles and books.1500 more publications of Lithuanian and foreign authors can be found and read in foreign open access repositories links to which are indicated: British education index, CEJSH, Czasopisma humanistyczne, De Gruyter Open, ISS PAS, RCIN, institutional repositories of Bialystok, Lodz, Warsaw, Jegiellonian (Poland), Riga universities, portals Scientific Journals Online, Wiley Online Library, etc. At present even 60 percent of records in LDB are published with texts.

Review-study is being prepared in order to analyze the results of expert evaluation of publications on Lithuanian studies in 2011-2014, take into account and generalize positively, negatively or controversially evaluated publications.
Research Council of Lithuania, as the institution coordinating Lithuanian open access activities, has opened more than 27 thousand full-text documents in the database "Lituanistika". Downloading of these documents is increasing every year. In 2016 database users downloaded and read nearly 745 thousand publications.
